Three therapies. Proven science. Lasting relief.
Magnesium float therapy, whole-body cryotherapy, and infrared sauna. Each powerful on its own and even more effective together. Here's what each one does and how to know which is right for you.
Magnesium Float Therapy
Flotation therapy, also called R.E.S.T. (Reduced Environmental Stimulation Therapy), is one of the most researched and effective tools available for pain relief, stress recovery, and deep nervous system rest. You float effortlessly in a private tank filled with 200 gal of water saturated with 1000 pounds of pharmaceutical-grade magnesium sulfate, the same mineral your body uses for over 300 biochemical processes, including muscle relaxation, nerve function, and inflammation regulation. The water is heated to skin temperature so the boundary between your body and the water nearly disappears. There is no gravity pulling on your spine, your joints, or your muscles and little to no light or sound. What happens next is something most people have never experienced before.
How it works
With little to no external input to process, your nervous system shifts out of fight-or-flight and into its parasympathetic state, the branch responsible for healing, repair, and restoration. Your brain, freed from the constant work of processing sensory information, drops into theta wave activity, the same deeply relaxed state experienced in advanced meditation, typically only accessible after years of practice. Your muscles release tension they've been holding for so long you stopped even noticing it. Your spine decompresses. Your joints, finally free of gravitational pressure, begin to recover. The magnesium in the water absorbs transdermally throughout your session as well, further reducing inflammation and supporting muscle and nerve recovery at a cellular level.
What to expect
Most guests report a noticeable reduction in pain, improved sleep, and a mental clarity that carries well into the days following their session, often two to four days of measurable relief from a single float. Research published in peer-reviewed journals consistently shows significant reductions in cortisol, decreased chronic pain intensity, improved sleep quality, and meaningful reductions in anxiety and depression symptoms. With regular floating, these windows get longer and the relief goes deeper as your nervous system learns to access that parasympathetic state more readily.
Who it's for
Float therapy is particularly effective for chronic pain conditions including fibromyalgia, arthritis, and back and joint injuries; anxiety, PTSD, and nervous system dysregulation; athletic recovery and injury rehabilitation; pregnancy discomfort and prenatal care; migraines and tension headaches; and the kind of deep mental exhaustion that comes from carrying too much for too long. If you've tried everything and still aren't getting the relief you need, floating could be the place you finally find it
Cryotherapy
Whole-body cryotherapy is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory tools available outside of a hospital setting, and it takes three minutes. You step into the cryo chamber, temperatures drop to between -100°F and -200°F, and your body responds immediately and instinctively: blood rushes from your extremities to your core to protect your vital organs, carrying oxygen and nutrients with it. The moment you step out, that oxygen-rich blood floods back through your entire body reducing inflammation, accelerating tissue repair, and triggering a significant release of endorphins and norepinephrine. Most people walk out feeling noticeably better than when they walked in. Many are surprised by how much better.
How it works
The mechanism is called “hormesis”, the principle that a short, controlled exposure to stress makes your body stronger and more resilient. Cryotherapy works on this principle at a physiological level. The extreme cold activates your body's natural repair cascade: anti-inflammatory cytokines increase, pro-inflammatory markers drop, and your nervous system resets. Research published in Scientific Reports, analyzing 11 randomized controlled trials, confirmed that whole-body cryotherapy produces measurable reductions in inflammatory markers across multiple populations. Separate clinical research on patients with fibromyalgia, arthritis, and chronic low back pain showed significant reductions in both pain intensity and physical disability along with specific changes in inflammatory chemistry, including reductions in pro-inflammatory IL-2 and increases in anti-inflammatory IL-10. For athletes, studies demonstrate faster recovery from delayed onset muscle soreness, lower muscle damage markers including creatine kinase, and improved performance in subsequent training sessions.
Who it's for
Cryotherapy is effective for a wide range of people, from competitive athletes looking to recover faster after a hard session, to people managing chronic inflammatory conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, and autoimmune disorders. Anyone dealing with the daily inflammation that comes from physically demanding work, old injuries, or simply years of accumulated wear. It's also showing promising impact on mood. A randomized controlled trial found meaningful improvements in depression symptoms when cryotherapy was added to standard treatment. You don't need to prepare. You don't get wet. You simply step in, let your body do what it was designed to do, and step out three minutes later feeling different.

The Science
The research on infrared sauna is substantial and growing. A Dutch randomized controlled trial found that patients with rheumatoid arthritis who completed an 8-week infrared sauna program reported significant reductions in pain, stiffness, and fatigue with no adverse effects. A systematic review in Pain Medicine found infrared sauna therapy to be a promising treatment for chronic pain, with particularly strong evidence for fibromyalgia and chronic lower back pain. Multiple studies on fibromyalgia specifically have shown pain reductions of 30–77%, with regular use, with benefits that persist well beyond the treatment period itself. Research published in the Canadian Journal of Family Practice confirmed meaningful improvements in cardiovascular function, and a 2023 study found that post-exercise infrared sauna sessions significantly improved neuromuscular recovery and reduced muscle soreness compared to passive rest alone.
Infrared Sauna
Infrared sauna therapy works differently from every other heat therapy you've encountered. Traditional saunas heat the air around you to extreme temperatures, forcing your body to respond to the environment. Infrared saunas, on the other hand, emit light wavelengths that pass directly through the air and are absorbed by your body's tissues, heating you from the inside out at a comfortable 130–140°F. The result is a deep, penetrating warmth that reaches from skin and all the way through muscle, bone, and connective tissue, triggering physiological responses that surface-level heat simply cannot reach. Our Sunlighten infrared sauna is one of the most clinically studied units available, which matters when you're using this for genuine therapeutic benefit.
How it works
The infrared wavelengths your body absorbs do several things simultaneously. They raise your core temperature, which drives a deep, detoxifying sweat that carries heavy metals and environmental toxins out through the skin, which is a different and more thorough detoxification pathway than standard perspiration. They dilate blood vessels and dramatically increase circulation. Research shows blood flow can increase from 5–7 quarts per minute and up to as much as 13 quarts per minute during a session delivering oxygen and nutrients to painful, oxygen-starved tissues. They activate heat shock proteins that support cellular repair and suppress the central sensitization pathways that amplify chronic pain signals. And they shift your autonomic nervous system toward parasympathetic dominance, the same healing, restorative state that float therapy also produces, through a completely different mechanism.
Who Its For
Infrared sauna is particularly effective for fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic back and joint pain, cardiovascular support, post-workout recovery, stress and anxiety, detoxification, and poor sleep. It is also one of the most effective tools available for people whose pain or physical limitations make exercise difficult. The cardiovascular response produced during a sauna session is comparable to moderate physical exertion, meaning your heart, circulation, and metabolism are being conditioned even when your body can't tolerate movement. For many people managing chronic conditions, that distinction changes everything.
Whether you use the sauna on its own or pair it with a float or cryo session, you'll leave warmer, looser, and more at ease than when you arrived. Many guests describe it as the most effortless thing they've ever done for their health, because it is!
FAQs
What should I bring?
